1. Welcome to BoredomHub!

  • Welcome home to all new and returning members! Take a moment to read through our server rules to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone.
  • Please see Section 2 for rules regarding PvP on the server.
  • Server promotion, discussion, or streaming unrelated to BoredomHub is strictly prohibited. Advertising, including DM promotions, name links, or direct posting in chat, is not allowed.
  • Treat others with respect. We uphold the Golden Rule: 'Treat others how you want to be treated.' This does not mean retaliation is acceptable—report issues instead.
  • Discrimination based on race, sexual orientation, religion, gender, disabilities, or other personal traits will not be tolerated. Toxic behavior, including verbal abuse, racial slurs, hate speech, or harassment, is strictly forbidden.

2. PVP Rules

  • PvP of any kind is not tolerated except for in the dedicated PVP Arena. (At the moment, is a dedicated arena off the coast of Berezino.)
  • Retaliation due to PvP is not tolerated either. Please report the user on Discord instead.
  • No BM or Secret Trader Weapons are allowed to be used in the PvP Arena to ensure a fair advantage for those participating.
  • All parties involved in a PvP event must agree to restricted items listed above for them to be allowed.

3. Vehicle Rules

  • Always purchase insurance for your vehicle. Admins WILL NOT replace uninsured vehicles.
  • Items stored in vehicles are at your own risk. Admins are not responsible for lost items due to game mechanics.
  • Turn off helicopters when landed, including autopilot. Admins WILL NOT retrieve runaway helicopters—use insurance claims instead.
  • Lock your vehicles at all times and store them when not in use. Unstored vehicles may be deleted.
  • Deleted vehicles WILL NOT be replaced. Items inside insured vehicles cannot be recovered.
  • Please park vehicles 50-100m away from dynamic events (KOTH & Locked Crates). Vehicles deleted by such WILL NOT be compensated.
  • If your vehicle seems to sink into the ground, please leave and rejoin before creating a ticket. This has been an ongoing desync issue.
  • Vehicles must be stored within 24 hours, or they may be impounded without compensation. Please refer to Section 8 for more information.

4. Restart Rules

  • Do NOT interact with in-game items within 5 minutes of restart. This includes cars, lockers, ATMs, and storage items.
  • If an item duplication occurs, report it via a ticket. Failure to report may result in disciplinary action.
  • Do NOT drive during a restart. If you lose a vehicle, walk in the direction you were traveling or backwards—restart mechanics may have teleported you 500-1,000 meters.

5. Alternative Trader Rules

  • Do NOT share the locations of secret traders, black market traders, drug traders, collectables traders, or key card safe room locations.
  • When visiting collectables or black market traders, ask in global chat if anyone is present before entering. Be considerate of others.
  • Black Market and Collectable traders are no-fly/no-drive zones. Entering these areas with a vehicle may result in its destruction.
  • Vehicles destroyed due to negligence of these zones WILL NOT be compensated.

6. KOTH Rules

  • You must be within 100m of the King of the Hill (KOTH) location to claim it.
  • Announce 'KOTH Claimed' or 'King of the Hill Claimed' in global chat.
  • If KOTH has already been claimed, you must be invited to join.
  • If another player is fighting mobs at KOTH but has not claimed it, you may claim it yourself.
  • If inviting others to KOTH, distribute prizes fairly.
  • If you are killed, you forfeit your claim and must reclaim it.
  • Please see Section 3, Rule 6 regarding rules of vehicles at these events.

7. Locked Crate Rules

  • You must be within 100m of a locked crate to claim it.
  • You must claim the crate before starting the countdown.
  • Announce 'Crate Claimed LOCATION_HERE' or a similar message in global chat.
  • If you are killed, you forfeit your claim and must reclaim it.
  • Please see Section 3, Rule 6 regarding rules of vehicles at these events.

8. Base Building Rules

  • Each group may only have ONE static structure.
  • Check the Restrictions tab for base limitations.
  • Floating bases are not allowed unless properly supported. Contact an admin if unsure.
  • Building in military buildings, hospitals, police stations, gas stations, castles, or fire stations is prohibited.
  • Blocking tunnels, roads (except overpasses that allow vehicles), or public utilities (wells, gas pumps, garages) is not allowed.
  • Secure your base—Admins WILL NOT compensate for unsecured losses.
  • Each base is allowed 1 tent for temporary use. Tents used as bases may be deleted after a week without compensation.
  • Each base may have 2 greenhouses or 6 planter boxes.
  • Barrels, wooden crates, and sea chests are for vehicle storage only. If placed on the ground, they will despawn within 3 seconds.
  • Base flags lower after 7 days.
  • Your flag pole must be at least 500m from the nearest fence of a large military compound (4+ lootable buildings).
  • Your flag pole must be at least 250m from the nearest fence or building corner of a small military compound (fewer than 4 lootable buildings).
  • Any location within a green circle is a no-build zone. Some unmarked locations may also be restricted.

9. Vehicle Tagging Rules

  • Admins may tag vehicles left out for an extended period. These will be considered 'Tagged Vehicles.'
  • Tagged vehicles will be logged with details, including type and location, in a designated Discord channel.
  • After 24 hours, admins will check tagged vehicles. If not stored, they will be impounded. If stored, the tag is removed.
  • If you cannot remove your vehicle in time, claim it in the appropriate Discord channel and explain why. Admins may extend the deadline.

10. Ticket Rules

  • Please create tickets for issues and not directly DM DayZ Staff, unless they have told you it's okay.
  • When creating a ticket, please make sure to be descriptive in your ticket. The reason 'vehicle stuck' does not help us. Please explain how it's stuck, what type of vehicle, and where you are.
  • Please do not abuse the ticket system, if you already have an open ticket for an issue, please do not recreate your ticket. Tickets ping our staff team for your convenience, and we will help you when we are available.
  • If you have solved your issue, please close your ticket or let us know in your ticket.
  • In the event you do not use Discord, please ask in chat for an admin and mention you do not use Discord. The keyword 'admin' in chat sends us a ping to those watching over the server at the time.

11. Miscellaneous Rules

  • Body bag contents WILL NOT be replaced (except for when DayZ or Server is at fault).
  • Stealing or theft—including from body bags and bases—is strictly prohibited.
  • No raiding, glitching, or entering another player's base.
  • Hacking, cheating, and exploiting are not allowed.
  • Use trash cans at traders—clean up after yourself.
  • Admins WILL NOT compensate for losses in special areas.
  • Loot cycling (removing spawned items to force new spawns) is prohibited.
  • Your Discord name must contain or match your in-game name.

Failure to follow these rules may result in disciplinary action. Claiming 'I didn't read the rules' will not exempt you from enforcement.

Language barriers do not excuse rule violations.

All rules apply to all players—no one is exempt.

BoredomHub reserves the right to modify these rules at any time, with or without prior notice.
